"In the coming months as we discuss our local economy, we want to equip our local business community with the best practices and resources to allow for sustainable and safe operations that ensure that we can continue to work to flatten the curve," Shelby County Mayor Lee Harris said in a news conference Monday.

Reported COVID-19 case rate rises at one senior living facility
As part of their ongoing monitoring efforts of senior living facilities with reported clusters of COVID-19 cases, the Shelby County Health Department reported Monday one additional death from COVID-19 complications, as well as four new reported cases and one new facility now being monitored for a cluster outbreak.
According to the health department, a resident at The Village in Germantown died from COVID-19 complications.
The Village has been battling a cluster outbreak among residents in the skilled nursing area since early April. On Friday, the health department reported three deaths among those residents with reported cases of COVID-19.
The affected residents within The Village's skilled nursing unit were previously in and out of hospitals with pre-existence health conditions, the facility said.
Four new reported cases of COVID-19 were reported at the Parkway Health and Rehab, a senior living facility that first reported cases among residents in early April.
Additionally, the health department is now monitoring a cluster outbreak at Lakeside Behavioral Health. Lakeside is not a senior living facility, but it is a residential treatment center for behavioral health and addiction disorders where residents often share communal living spaces.
